Walmart to cut greenhouse gasses

Walmart announces that it will cut 20 million metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions from its global supply chain by the end of 2015, working first with the suppliers in areas with the most embedded carbon. They'll be looking all the way down the supply chain, throughout the product lifecycle -- from the sourcing of the raw materials to the manufacturing of a product to its transportation and how customers use it, dispose of it and recycle it. It's a big target, and it will be good to see some evidence of progress along the way, transparently expressed.
